  • MEMS Microphone Breakout - INMP401 (ADMP401)

This tiny breakout board features the ADMP401 MEMs microphone. One of the key advantages to this breakout and microphone is the bottom ported input. This means the microphone’s input can fit flush against the enclosure of your project. Plus you will not have to deal with trying to solder the microphone’s wacky footprint. Wootness! The amplifier on the breakout has a gain of 67 and more than meets the bandwidth requirements of the mic. The amplifier’s AUD output will float at one half Vcc when no sound is being picked up. The amplifier produces a peak-to-peak output of about 200mV when the microphone is held at arms length and is being talked into at normal conversational volume levels. So the AUD output can easily be connected to the ADC of a micro.

  • Micro ReSpeaker 4-Mic Array

ReSpeaker 4-Mic Array for Raspberry Pi is a quad-microphone expansion board for Raspberry Pi designed for AI and voice applications. This means that we can build a more powerful and flexible voice product that integrates Amazon Alexa Voice Service, Google Assistant, and so on. Different from ReSpeaker 2-Mics Pi HAT, this board is developed based on AC108, a highly integrated quad-channel ADC with I2S/TDM output transition for high definition voice capture, which allows the device to pick up sounds in a 3 meters radius. Besides, this 4-Mics version provides a super cool LED ring, which contains 12 APA102 programable LEDs. With that 4 microphones and the LED ring, Raspberry Pi would have ability to do VAD(Voice Activity Detection), estimate DOA(Direction of Arrival), do KWS(Keyword Search) and show the direction via LED ring, just like Amazon Echo or Google Home.

  • Module Enregistreur Grove

This is the latest version of Grove-recorder, and also the best version. Comparing the previous one, there are some updates that we would like to mention. First change is MCU. In V3.0, the MCU is upgraded from to be ISD9160FI, which is more powerful than the old one ISD1820PY. How is it more powerful? Together with the newly added 2Mbytes flash, it allows you to record up to 83 seconds, much longer than previous 12 sec record. Secondly, if you have ever used previous version, you would know that if you want to play back what you have recorded, you need to press another button on the Grove button that connected separately. In V3.0, we integrated the record button and play back button in to one button. By holding the button for 2 sec, it starts recording, by push the button quickly, it plays back what has been recorded.

The SparkFun Sound Detector is a small and very easy to use audio sensing board with three different outputs. The Sound Detector not only provides an audio output, but also a binary indication of the presence of sound, and an analog representation of its amplitude. The 3 outputs are simultaneous and independent, so you can use as many or as few as you want at once. The envelope output allows you to easily read amplitude of sound by simply measuring the analog voltage. Gain can be adjusted with a through-hole resistor, to change the threshold of the binary (gate) output pin as well. Check the hookup guide below for more information about setting gain. Each of the three output signals is present on the .1" pin-out at the edge of the board. They are active simultaneously. If you aren’t using one in your particular application, simply leave that pin disconnected.

  • Voice Recorder Breakout - ISD1932

This is a breakout board for the ISD1932, a multiple-message record/playback device. This single chip can record up to 64 seconds worth of voice messages. Microphone inputs and speaker outputs are all handled by the ISD1932. A switch is connected to allow selection of the ISD1932’s operating mode - address trigger or direct trigger. You must cycle the power after switching the mode. An LED is also populated on the board and will illuminate when the device is recording. An external resistor is necessary to select the record duration and sampling frequency, which can range from 21.2 - 64 seconds (4-12kHz sampling frequency). The board breaks out all pins of the ISD1932 to 0.1" spaced headers. This product comes as shown in the pictures with filtering capacitors, an LED, mode selecting switch and the ISD1932 IC. The new version of this board also includes a microphone and a 3.5mm audio jack.
